[. . . ] This device is suitable only for charging nickel-cadmium (NiCd) or nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery packs. [. . . ] Wherever possible, charge only battery packs of the same type and approximately the same capacity at the same time. Make sure that the battery packs are connected with the correct polarity (+ and -, see illustration in the charging compartment) and that perfect contact is guaranteed. The two red LED control lamps indicate that the battery packs are being charged correctly. When charging 2 battery packs only one of the red LEDs lights; when 4 battery packs are inserted both LEDs light. [. . . ] Please note that charging times vary according to the capacity (see battery pack imprint) and condition of the battery pack. [. . . ]
