[. . . ] This device is suitable only for charging nickelcadmium (NiCd) or nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery packs. [. . . ] Wherever possible, charge only battery packs of the same type and approximately the same capacity at the same time. Make sure that the battery packs are connected with the correct polarity (+ and -, see illustration in the charging compartment) and that perfect contact is guaranteed. The two red LED control lamps indicate that the battery packs are being charged correctly. To end charging upon completion of the charging time (see table), simply disconnect the device from the mains socket and remove the battery packs.
