The Screen Mode feature lets you watch 4:3 normal broadcasts in several wide screen modes (16:9 aspect ratio).
When viewing high-definition programs broadcast in 720p/1080i, it is not
possible to change Screen Modes because those video formats are already widescreen.

Wide Zoom enlarges the center portion of the 4:3 picture proportionately; however, only the left and right edges of the screen are stretched to fill the 16:9 screen. The picture has a normal appearance, as much as possible.
