If you do either of these during recording, recording will continue but with the Auto Rec Level function turned off. The Auto Rec Level function automatically sets the recording level according to the peak signal level of the program source. While the AUTO indicator is flashing, the deck sets the recording level as high as possible without causing distortion. If the signal level rises excessively after the start of recording, the deck gradually decreases the recording level.
