[. . . ] â· This appliance is intended to be used in household applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops; offices and other working environments; farm houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments. Using it for any purpose other than the one indicated could be dangerous. â· This appliance is not for use by persons (including children) whose physical, sensorial or mental capacities are impaired, or who lack sufficient experience or knowledge, unless they have been supervised or instructed in the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. [. . . ] Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table or worktop, to avoid children pulling on it and causing the appliance to fall. â· Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid, or place it in the dishwasher. â· The appliance must be connected to a power socket with a suitable ground connection. â· Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on. Hold the jar by the handle and do not touch the body of the jar while it is working. â· Make sure that there is water in the tank, before switching on the appliance. : When you wish to dispose of the appliance, NEVER throw it in the rubbish. Instead, go your nearest CLEAN POINT or waste collection point, where it will receive subsequent treatment. There are two safety systems that switch the appliance off, when the Water reaches the boiling point (the operation thermostat) or when the tank is empty (the safety thermostat). Completely remove all the elements inside or outside the appliance that were used for packing and transporting it. If the appliance is hot, handle it with care and hold it only by the handle. To fill the jar, first remove it from the base plate, to prevent water from spilling on the plate. Take care to avoid the steam and do not open the lid while the appliance is on. Before using it for the first time, use the appliance twice with water only to clean the system. 1 Plug the appliance into the mains and collect the leftover cord in the cord dispenser at the bottom of the base plate (1) (available in models KT5860/65). When filling, make sure the water level is between the MIN and MAX marks.
