HEAT SETTINGS
HI (25-30) These settings are very hot. Use only if hair is very coarse and highly resistant, but in good condition. MED/HI (19-24) Use heat settings in this range for dense, hard-to-straighten hair in good condition. MEDIUM (13-18) Use heat settings in this range for thick, wavy hair in good condition.
s Take a small section of hair and pull it taut. Holding the appliance with the other hand, start at the roots and clamp the hair firmly between the plates. s With the plates clamped together, run the straightener down the entire length of hair, from roots to ends, without stopping. FOR A CURL: Move straightener down and under at ends
Maintenance
s DO NOT scratch the surface of the plates, as this will diminish the effectiveness of the non-stick Teflon® coating.
s Always start from the back of your neck, continue over the sides, and finish with the front section.
STORAGE
When not in use, unplug the unit. Allow it to cool, then store it out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around the appliance, since this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle cord carefully and avoid jerking, twisting or straining it, especially at plug connections.
