All rights reserved. 5 About Quickoffice ConnectTM for Palm webOS Overview of Quickoffice ConnectTM for Palm webOS ACCESS, VIEW, & SHARE. Quickoffice ConnectTM for Palm webOS is the FIRST and ONLY full-featured Microsoft ® Office productivity suite for Palm webOS devices with integrated access to multiple cloud services. Quickoffice ConnectTM Mobile Suite is integrated with Quickoffice ConnectTM services, allowing users to easily access, view and share files from multiple cloud storage services, including MobileMe, Dropbox, Google docs, and Box. net. General Features Localized for International Users Quickoffice for Palm webOS is localized for English, French, Italian, German and Spanish languages. E-mail Attachments Now you can access and view Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets, and presentations that are received as attachments on your Palm webOS device. When you open an attachment, it will open in Quickoffice ConnectTM. Automatically Check for Updates Quickoffice allows you to check for updates, so that you always have the latest features at your fingertips. Press Check for Upgrades from the menu in Quickoffice to check for updates and upgrades available for your application/device. Register your Application You may register your application from your device to stay current with the latest updates, features and services available to you. To register, do so at the home screen on the initial application startup or open the main menu within the Quickoffice application and choose Register. You will need an active connection to register (standard data charges may apply). View Information about Quickoffice Press the Quickoffice Menu button and tap Help to view information about Quickoffice, such as the version number. You will find links to learn more about Quickoffice or visit the support website to get technical support. Sharing Files through E-mail using Quickoffice Press the Quickoffice Menu button while viewing a file and tap Share to create a new e-mail address with the current document, spreadsheet or presentations attached. All rights reserved. 6 Quickoffice File Manager Supported File Types The following file types can be viewed in Quickoffice: Microsoft Word: . doc & . docx Microsoft Excel: . xls & . xlsx Microsoft PowerPoint: . ppt & . pptx Files that are supported by other applications will be displayed and opened in their respective applications. Viewing Files Quickoffice allows you to view files on your memory card and those stored in your cloud storage accounts. Remote cloud storage accounts will display once you've added those accounts, and you will be able to view files stored in those locations, as well. Opening Files To open a file, simply select the location from the file manager, navigate to the folder where the files you wish to download are located, then select them by tapping the file icon or filename of the file you wish to open. A progress bar will display at the top of the screen as a file is being opened. Zooming and Scrolling Zooming: When viewing files you can zoom in or out. From Fit to Page view, double tapping in the document will zoom the document and present Text Reflow Mode which will allow for easier reading as it automatically wraps lines of text to fit your screen. Double tapping again will return the document to Fit to Page view. Scrolling: To scroll around a file, simply tap and drag up, down or sideways (if zoomed). All of your accounts will be listed on the Quickoffice home screen. Changing your password If the password for your Box. net account has changed, you will need to enter your new password in Quickoffice. When you have made your changes, press Sign In. Working with Dropbox Accounts Dropbox is a cross-platform cloud-based storage application and service. By providing a platform-independent application with cloud sharing and syncing of files, users can store and access their files from anywhere on any platform and share files with others. [. . . ] All rights reserved. 14 Spreadsheet Viewing Opening Spreadsheets Quickoffice can open any of the supported file formats for viewing and editing. Supported formats include . xls and . xlsx file formats. Renaming Spreadsheets Renaming spreadsheets is easy in Quickoffice. When viewing a spreadsheet, just press the Menu button and tap Save As, and the Save dialog will appear. Enter the new filename in the Enter New Filename field and tap the Save button. [. . . ]
