Please read these instructions for information about using the product correctly and safely. To ensure successful recordings, we recommend that you test the record function and volume before use. EN Introduction · The contents of this document may be changed in the future without advanced notice. [. . . ] When[SceneSave]isselected: Besides the [RecScene] templates found in the recorder, you can also save the menu settings of a recording you have set to your choice. While the recorder is paused, enter the menu from the [Home] menu display, and then perform this setting. 1 Press the + or ­ button to select the [UserSetting] you want to save. 2 Press the `OK button to complete the settings. 1 Select[Rec Scene]fromthemenu onthe[Rec Menu]. 3 Menu setting method EN · For details on how to enter the menu settings, please see "Menusetting method" ( P. 65). 2 Select[Scene Select]or[Scene Save]. 3 PresstheF (HOME)buttonto completethesetting. When[SceneSelect]isselected: 1 Press the + or ­ button to select the recording scene you want to set. TemplateforSettingaRecordingscene In [SceneSelect], you can select a recording scene that is most suitable for the recording scene or situation from three templates. The recording settings for the respective recording scenes are as follows. You can program up to three desired settings (Preset 1-3) ([On/Off], [Day], [StartTime], [StopTime], [RecMode], [MicSense], [MemorySelect], [Folder], and [Keyword]). [On/Off]setting: 1 Press the + or ­ button to select between [On] and [Off]. 1 Select[Timer Rec]fromthemenu onthe[Rec Menu]. · For details on how to enter the menu settings, please see "Menusetting method" (P. 65). 2 Pressthe+or-buttontoselecta presetnumber, andthenpressthe `OKor9button. [On]: Setting will be applied. [Day]setting: 1 Press the + or ­ button to select from [One Time], [Everyday], and [EveryWeek]. 3 Menu setting method 3 Press the +or-button toselect theitemtoset, andthenpressthe `OKor9button. · Select items you want to set from among [On/Off], [Day], [StartTime], [StopTime], [RecMode], [Mic Sense], [MemorySelect], [Folder], and [Keyword]. [OneTime]: Records only once at the specified time. [EveryWeek]: Make a recording at a set time on a specified day of the week. EN 81 Menu setting method Select [Every Week] and press the `OK button to move to the selection of [Day]. 2Press the `OK or 9 button. [StartTime]and[StopTime]setting: Thevoicecontrolfunctioncan beusedwiththissetting (P. 107)(ForDM-5). 1 Press the 9 or 0 button to select "Hour" and "Minute" in the [StartTime] and "Hour" and "Minute" in the [Stop Time]. 3 Menu setting method EN 3Press the + or ­ button to select a recording rate. 4Press the `OK button to exit Recording mode selection. 2 Press the + or ­ button to set. 3 Press the `OK button to exit [StartTime] and [StopTime] selection. [MicSense]setting: Regardless of the recorder's microphone sensitivity setting ( P. 67), timer recording will start at a set microphone sensitivity. 1Press the + or ­ button to select from [High], [Middle], and [Low]. 2Press the `OK button to exit [MicSense] selection. 8 [RecMode]setting: Regardless of the regular [RecMode] ( P. 67), timer recording will start in a set recording mode. Menu setting method [MemorySelect]setting: 1Press the + or ­ button to select the destination to save to (Memory). 2Press the `OK button to exit [Memory Select] setting selection. Completingthesetting: 4 PresstheF (GO)buttonto completethesetting. 3 Menu setting method [Folder]setting: 1Press the + or ­ button to select the destination to save to (Folder). 2Press the `OK button to exit [Folder] setting selection. Programmed settings will be applied and the display will return to the preset number selection menu. If the [On/Off] setting is set to [On], [j] will appear on the display. a When setting to [On] [Keyword]setting: Tag a keyword to file to be recorded using the timer. 1Press the + or ­ button to select the desired keyword, and then press the `OK button. a To set other preset numbers, repeat the abovementioned procedure. When the 9 button is pressed in the Select in Advance Menu, the settings selected can be confirmed. EN 8 Menu setting method Notes · If the recorder is in use at the preset start time, the timer recording will start directly after stopping the recorder.
