The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated "dangerous voltage" within the product's enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons. The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the product.

9. If you have made changes to the date and/or time, Stored will be displayed briefly. The display will return to stop mode.
Note: The date and time settings will remain for about 5 years if the AC Adapter is not plugged in and no batteries are installed.
Date Form The Date Form is the date order month/day/year or day/month/year. The Europe default is D/M/Y (day/month/year).

Beep When battery charge can provide no more than 1-3 minutes of recording or playback and Beep is set to On, the CHARGE indicator, REC indicator and the battery indicator in the display will flash, and the PMD671 will beep through the headphones or speaker. If the PMD671 is not operated for 30 minutes during stop or play pause, power can be automatically shut off to conserve battery life. (See A. PowOFF. ) If A. PowOFF is set to Yes, and Beep is set to ON, the PMD671 will beep to alert you that the power is shutting off. Battery Type The PMD671 can operate on 8 standard AA size Alkaline, Ni-Cd or Ni-MH batteries. An optional Ni-Cd battery pack (Model RB1100 available from Marantz Professional) will be charged by the built-in charger when the AC adaptor is plugged in. An optional Ni-MH battery pack (Model RB1651 available from Marantz Professional) will be charged by the built-in charger when the AC adaptor is plugged in. The Battery Type setting is used for the battery indicator in the display and "Low Battery" warning. If the setting does not match installed batteries the PMD671 will not show the appropriate battery status.
