Boot Other Device
This option allows the system to search for an operating system from devices other than the ones selected in the "First/Second/Third Boot Device" option. Default: Enabled
Swap Floppy Drive
This option either enables or disables the swap floppy drive function. When enabled, the BIOS swaps the floppy drive assignments so that Drive A becomes Drive B, and Drive B becomes Drive A. Default: Disabled
Boot Up Floppy Seek
When enabled, the BIOS will seek whether or not the floppy drive installed has 40 or 80 tracks. The 360K type has 40 tracks while 760K, 1. 2MB and 1. 44MB types all have 80 tracks. Default: Enabled
Boot Up NumLock Status
This option allows you to activate the NumLock function after you power up the system. Default: On
Gate A20 Option
This option determines how gate A20 is handled. Today, while keyboards still provide this support, it is more common and much faster, for the system chipset to provide support for Gate A20. Default: Fast
Typematic Rate Setting
When this option is disabled, holding down a key on your keyboard will generate only one key stroke at a time. When enabled, you can set the next two listed typematic control options. CONFIGURATION
Typematic Rate (Characters Per Second)
When this option is enabled, the system registers repeated keystroke speeds. Default: 6
Typematic Delay (Msec)
When the "Typematic Rate" option has been enabled, this option will allow you to set the time interval for displaying the first and second characters. Default: 250
Security Option
This option allows you to limit access to the "System" and to the "Setup" utility. When you select the "System" option, the system prompts for the "User Password" every time you boot up. When you select the "Setup" option, the system boots up and prompts for the "Supervisor Password" only when the "Setup" utility is called up. Default: Setup
OS Select for DRAM > 64MB
This option allows the system to access greater than 64MB of DRAM memory when running an OS/2 program. Default: Non-OS/2
Report No FDD for Win 95
IRQ6 is usually assigned to a floppy disk drive. If the drive does not exist, this option will allow Windows 95 to share it with other peripherals. Default: No
Small Logo (EPA) Show
This option can be set to enabled or disabled. CONFIGURATION
Advanced Chipset Features Setup
The following section describes how to configure your system based on specific features of the installed chipset. The chipset manages bus speeds and access to the system memory resources, such as Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) and external cache. [. . . ] Turn "Off" and unplug the system before connecting a peripheral device. Users are advised to purchase the latest versions of virus protection software and use them regularly. Make sure the external power source, used with the FieldPAC, conforms to the AC power adapter and system ratings. Arrange all cables so they are out of the way of traffic, personnel and equipment.
