[. . . ] Over time your hearing "comfort level" adapts to higher volumes of sound. So what sounds "normal" can actually be loud and harmful to your hearing. Guard against this by setting your equipment at a safe level BEFORE your hearing adapts. To establish a safe level: · Start your volume control at a low setting. [. . . ] When listening to an FM program, fully extend the Wire Antenna to insure maximum tuner sensitivity. If the AM reception is weak, slightly rotating or re-positioning the loop antenna will usually improve the AM reception. Automatic tuning depends on the signal strength of the broadcasting station, so week stations may be skipped. You can manually tune to find the week stations if a station gets skipped. With strong signals, the tuner may stop before it reaches the actual broadcast frequency, so you may need to manually tune for the best reception. PRESET STATIONS (USING REMOTE CONTROL) This unit is equipped with preset memories for AM and FM. Tune to the desired radio station either "manually" or using the "auto" tuning method. Press the "MEM/CLK-ADJ" button to enable the program function and the "MEM" indicator will show on the LCD. Press the FOLDER / PRE or button to select the desired preset channel. Repeat steps 3 to 6 to store other stations if necessary. RECALLING THE PRESET STATIONS 1.
