Your tractor has a battery charging system which is sufficient for normal use. However, periodic charging of the battery with an automotive charger will extend its life. NOTE: The original equipment battery on your tractor is maintenance free. TO CLEAN BATTERY AND TERMINALS Corrosion and dirt on the battery and terminals can cause the battery to “leak” power. • Disconnect BLACK battery cable first then RED battery cable and remove battery from tractor. • Clean terminals and battery cable ends with wire brush until bright. • Reinstall battery (See “REPLACING BATTERY" in the 18 SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS section of this manual).

IN-LINE FUEL FILTER (See Fig. If fuel filter becomes clogged, obstructing fuel flow to carburetor, replacement is required. • Place new fuel filter in position in fuel line with arrow pointing towards carburetor. • Be sure there are no fuel line leaks and clamps are properly positioned. • Immediately wipe up any spilled gasoline.
