[. . . ] · Super index allows you to quickly search for a program you want to view or the point from which you want to start recording on the tape. · Super rewind and fast forward · Multi-channel TV sound (MTS). · Auto tracking system automatically adjusts the tracking so the picture is optimized. · Frequency synthesized tuner provides easy, preset tuning of up to 68 broadcast TV channels and 125 cable channels. Note: During super rewind/fast-forward, there will be an interval of 5 seconds between the time the STOP button is pressed and the time the tape actually stops. To stop the tape earlier, press the REW or F. FWD button to restore the normal rewind/fast-forward speed, then press the STOP button. NOTES: · BLANK SEARCH cannot be operated with a cassette without a safety tab. · BLANK SEARCH may not operate when a blank section lasts no more than five minutes. · BLANK SEARCH will not be engaged in the following sections since they are not recognized as blanks: - Sections with noise - Sections where only sound has been recorded - Sections where previous recordings have been erased Remote Control Illustration. 1 Press the The BLANK SEARCH screen will appear and the tape will fast forward automatically · The blank which is the nearest the current tape position is searched for. · The blank square in the tape bar shows the current tape position. · The tape remaining time appears on the screen and VCR display during BLANK SEARCH. · When a blank is detected, the tape will automatically rewind to the beginning of the blank. Notes: · When a cassette without a safety tab is inserted, "TAb" will flash in the VCR display for several seconds and the cassette will be ejected automatically. · Tape bar will not appear correctly if tapes which have scratches or are slack are being used. 37 When the beginning of blank is located, the STOP screen will appear for five seconds and the tape will stop · The tape remaining time appears in the VCR display. · Switching rewind or fast forward to visual search (EASY VIEW) Hold down the (VIEW/SKIP/BLANK) button during rewind (or fast forward), and the mode will switch to visual search, so that you can search for a scene you want to view while scanning pictures.
