[. . . ] Keep pressing the "Ice Tray Cleaning" button for 5 seconds or longer to start "Ice Tray Cleaning". 5 sec. Immediately open the freezer compartment door and place the water tray that you prepared under the Automatic Ice Maker. Catch the water that flows out in the tray. The "Cleaning" lamp will turn on. The alarm will beep continuously while using the "Ice Tray Cleaning" function. Discard the water in the tray and wipe up any water that may have fallen into the refrigerator. Ice Tray Cleaning complete. Caution When Ice Tray Cleaning, make sure that you catch the water that is flowing out of the Automatic Ice Maker in a tray. If the water is not caught by a tray, it will drain into the Ice Bank, causing the ice cubes to stick together. Also, water that falls will leak from the dispenser opening and drip into the Water Tray. Moreover, if water falls into the Ice Bank, the ice cubes will stick together. Wipe up all the water in the Ice Bank and return it to its original position. (See page 20 for removal instructions) Do not touch the rotating parts in the Automatic Ice Maker while using the Ice Tray Cleaning function, as this may cause injury to your fingers. Notice In order to use the "Ice Tray Cleaning" feature, the Freezer Door must be open. Due to this, the temperature inside the compartment may rise slightly. Therefore, it is recommended that you avoid opening the Freezer Door before and after using the "Ice Tray Cleaning" feature. Cleaning the Water Dispenser The "Cleaning" lamp will turn on when one week or longer passes without using the Water Dispenser. When the lamp is on, discard the first cup of water that is dispensed, as the system needs to rinse itself out. Notice The "Cleaning" lamp will turn on. 18 The "Cleaning" lamp will turn off after using the Water Dispenser. Maintenence (Continued) Water Tank In order to prevent grime and hard water stains from building up, make sure to rinse the Water Tank once a week. How to Close the Lid. Water Tank Cover Button Case Water Filter Slide the lid in back-end first in the direction of the arrows to close the lid. Handle Water Tank Notice If the Automatic Ice Maker is not set to "Stop, " the water pump may make sounds occasionally. This is not a malfunction. Water Filter In order to prevent grime and hard water stains from building up, make sure to rinse the Water Filter once per week. Use a soft sponge to clean the Water Filter. Do not use cleansers as this may damage the filter. Notice Replace the Water Filter when it wears out. Water Filters need replacing every 3 to 4 years. 19 How to use the Ice Dispenser and Water Dispenser (Deluxe Model) Maintenance (Continued) Ice Bank Before performing maintenance, make sure that the refrigerator is unplugged. Instructions for Regular Cleaning 1. Wipe the Ice Bank dry with a soft cloth. ( P. 22 ) Instructions for Removing and Cleaning the Ice Bank 1. After removing the ice, wipe the Ice Bank with a soft cloth, being careful to remove any water in or on the Ice Bank. Blade Crusher Case Flapper If there are still ice cubes remaining in the Crusher Case in the reverse side of the Ice Bank, remove them using a spoon, etc. . When installing the Ice Bank, be sure that there is no gap at the bottom of the Ice Bank. GAP Auger If there is a gap, rotate the Auger 90 degrees and then install the Ice Bank. Before performing maintenance, make sure that the refrigerator is unplugged. [. . . ] The "Dispenser Illumination" flashes to inform you of this case. 27 Water is not dispensed. Is the water in the Water Tank frozen ?Has the Water Dispenser been used formore than 1 minute continuously ? Troubleshooting First Check the Following (Continued) Ice Dispenser and Water Dispenser (Continued) Problems Water from the Water Dispenser is not chilled. When using the Water Dispenser, the water dispensed in the beginning is not chilled enough. Point to be checked Has the water just been put into the Water Tank ?
