Input Selection If you wish to input an image from another device to this DVD video camera/recorder, you must first switch the setting on the DVD video camera/recorder. Refer to the explanation starting from page 92 on how to connect the DVD video camera/recorder to other devices or record images input from them. English 60 Self-Timer You can record stills of yourself alone or with your family, friends, etc. , using the self-timer function, as with ordinary cameras. A still will be recorded approximately 10 seconds after the REC button is pressed. 1 Press the MENU button. The menu screen will appear. to 2 Use the joystick on choose "Self Timer" the "Record Functions Setup" screen, and then press the button. 4 Press the MENU button. The menu screen will disappear. You can also check that self-timer has been set by reviewing the on-screen information. Options will be displayed on the right to "Self Timer". The mark will be attached to the currently selected option. Self-timer recording 5 Press the REC button. The recording indicator at the front of DVD video camera/recorder will blink. The self-timer indicator will start to count down, and recording will commence approximately 10 seconds later. Note: To release the self-timer mode, choose "Off" on the menu screen or turn DVD video camera/recorder off. Note: To suspend self-timer , press the REC button again before recording starts, or press the button. Note: When the REC button is pr ssed, the e mark on LCD screen will be pink. It will also change in the same way when recording with the LCD screen facing the same direction as the lens. 3 Use the joystick to select "On", and then press the button. English 61 Setting On-Screen Display Output On or Off If you connect this DVD video camera/recorder to a TV and operate it while watching the TV screen, you can switch off the on-screen information (displayed in the viewfinder or on the LCD monitor) from the TV screen.
