the notice shown below. This symbol indicates required actions. Refer to the Power Supply as indicated on the rating label pasted at the back of the TV set. It may cause a fire or an electric shock. Never insert or remove the power plug with wet hands. [. . . ] This is normal. 35 CH SURF FUNCTION The CH Surf function of this TV provides two modes, mode 3 and mode 12. To use this function allows you to enjoy the programs easily and comfortably. In normal picture mode, press the CH SURF button to enter mode 3 or mode 12. Mode 3 Follow the steps on page 20 to enter the Function menu and select the Multi Picture option, then enter the Multi Picture menu and select the CH Surf option as shown on the right. Press the cursor buttons to set the CH Surf option to mode 3, then exit from the menu. In normal TV mode, press the CH SURF button to enter mode 3 (4-Picture display mode) as shown below. The speakers and the headphone jack will output the sound from picture A. The monitor out terminals will output audio and video signals from picture A too. Picture B1, B2 and B3 will rotate to refresh individual program after a few seconds starting from the program No. 0, except those programs that are skipped. When entering mode 3, you can select the program for picture A by pressing the program up/down buttons or number buttons. As for the pictures in group B, you can press the P+ P- buttons to select one of the pictures among the B1, B2, B3 picture. If you press the ENTER button, the picture selected in group B will be switched to the picture A. However, if you enter other menus such as Picture, it will exit from the 4-Picture display mode. In this mode, the A/B, SWAP and POSITION buttons are invalid. A B1 B2 B3 Note: Not all input signal formats are valid for mode 3. Sometimes the signal may be able to be displayed in TV mode before entering mode 3, it may not be able to be displayed once in mode 3. In such case, the characters !Invalid Signal will appear in picture A, or the symbol will appear in picture B. This is normal. 36 CH SURF FUNCTION Mode 12 Follow the steps on page 20 to enter the Function menu and select the Multi Picture option, then enter the Multi Picture menu and select the CH Surf option as shown on the right. Press the cursor buttons to set the CH Surf option to mode 12, then exit from the menu. In normal TV mode, press the CH SURF button to enter mode 12(12-picture) as shown below. The 12 pictures will rotate to refresh individual program after a few seconds starting from the program No. 0 except for those skipped program. If the preset channels are less than 12, it will display the actual number of searched program. If the preset channels are more than 12, use the Page up/down buttons to select the next group of program. In this mode, you can press the cursor buttons to select one of the pictures, and the program No. [. . . ] 5. If your device has s-video signal output, please use s-video signal instead of the standard video signal. If there are signals input from the same group of S-VIDEO and VIDEO terminals, the TV will receive signal from S-VIDEO and the characters S and AV3 or AV4 will appear on the top right corner of the screen by pressing the RECALL button, which indicates that you are using S-VIDEO terminal to receive signals. VIDEO MONITOR OUT terminal outputs video signal receiving from RF, S-VIDEO or VIDEO terminal to external equipment. When receiving component signals (Y PB/CB PR/CR) or HDMI signal, there is no output from VIDEO MONITOR OUT terminal. [. . . ]
