Precautions This equipment has been designed and manufactured to meet international safety standards but, like any electrical equipment, care must be taken if you are to obtain the best results and safety is to be assured. DO read the operating instructions before you attempt to use the equipment. DO ensure that all electrical connections (including the mains plug, extension leads and interconnections between the pieces of equipment) are properly made and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Switch off and withdraw the mains plug before making or changing connections. [. . . ] Warning: The default volume setting is at 12. Adjusting the super bass You can reinforce the bass sound to maintain rich, full bass at low volume. Press the Super Bass button (S-BASS) on the remote control to get the effect, the word "S-BASS" will display on the Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD). Press the Super Bass button (S-BASS) again to cancel the effect. Control the Loudness This unit has loudness function, which can automatically increase the bass sound effect at low volume. It can also increase the bass sound effect at high volume, but it will be relatively less when it is at high volume. Press the Loudness button (LOUDNESS) on the remote control to obtain the loudness function, the word "LOUD" will display on the Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD). Preset Equalizer You can adjust the sound reproduced simply by choosing from 5 preset equalizers. Press the Preset Equalizer button (P-EQ) repeatedly to scroll through the following options: POPS JAZZ CLASSIC ROCK FLAT Changing the Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) Darkness This unit has three brightness levels for you to adjust the clock display. You only need to press the Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) Dimmer Control button (DIM) on the remote control, then you can choose the proper lighting to use this system at different times. Listening to Radio Broadcasts DAB Radio * * * * * Tuning to DAB for the first time Press the Function button (FUNCTION) repeatedly on the front panel of the amplifier or the Tuner button (TUNER) on the remote control to select the DAB station. The system will start to a quick scan to search for all available Band lll channels automatically. If no DAB service is available "NO SIGNAL" will be displayed. If there are available DAB services, the system will store all detected stations. At completion of the scanning, the system will tune to a station on the list. Tuning to a station 1. The system will clear its internal memory and automatically start a quick scan all over again. Note: If no DAB signal is found, it may be necessary for you to relocate your radio. Alternatively, please visit http://www. ukdigitalradio. com/coverage to check whether the DAB cover age is available in your area. FM Radio You can listen to FM stations. Stations can be tuned in manually, automatically, or from preset memory storage. Caution: Before listening to the radio, please check that the FM antenna is correctly connected and adjusted for length and direction. Repeatedly press the Function button (FUNCTION) on the front of the amplifier until FM Radio is displayed on the display screen, or press the Tuner Function button ( ) on the remote control. Auto Tuning If you press the Intro/Scan button (INTRO/SCAN) button on the remote control, display will show "AUTOSCAN" and the auto tuning would start. Manual Tuning Repeatedly press the Tuning Backward/Forward buttons (- TUNING +) on the top of the CD player or press the D /C buttons on the remote control to change the frequency until you find the C station you want. Preset Tuning (Available only after the stations are preset) Repeatedly press the Preset Up/Down switch buttons (- PRESET +) on the top of the CD player or press the H/G buttons on the remote control to select the desired preset number. Its band G and frequency are displayed on the Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD). Presetting Stations You can manually preset up to 20 FM stations. Press the Program button (PROG) on the remote control, the preset number will be displayed. [. . . ] Set the hour with the Volume Down button (VOL-) or Volume Up button (VOL+). Press the Timer button (TIMER) on the remote control, the minute indicator will blink. Set the minute with the Volume Down button (VOL-) or Volume Up button (VOL+).
