Auto Tune Quick Scan The above message is displayed on the screen for at least 2 seconds. Full Scan If the user holds the Auto Tune button down for at least 2 seconds, then a (Full) scan of all channels in Band III is undertaken. The following message is displayed on the screen for at least 2 seconds. If any ensembles are found during the full scan that lie outside the normal UK Band III range, then a persistent flag is set to indicate the fact, to ensure that even a short press of the Auto Tune button will initiate a full scan next time. Below this point audio may still decode, but audio artefacts (first burbling, then muting) will be heard. This display will be continuously updated so that the user can use it to position the radio to obtain the best reception.
