Additional Specific Safety Rules: 101 Hold tools by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the cutting tool may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. General
The TE25-S is a grounded machine equipped with a drill-stop device designed to stop the machine when the drill bit makes sufficient contact with a grounded metal pipe, grounded conduit or grounded reinforcement steel, in order to help avoid drilling through the grounded metal object. The machine will not stop when the metal object is not grounded.
Operation
1. 1)
(integrated in the TE25-S handle) Connect the TE25-S plug to a 3-wire grounded 110120 V 50/60 Hz outlet. The green light ( ; GROUNDED ) and the orange light ( ; DRILL STOP ON), integrated in the TE25-S handle, must turn on. The drill-stop function must always be tested by touching the drill-bit inserted into the TE25-S chuck, to a grounded metal object. The orange light must go out and the TE25-S must stop running. 3-wire outlet is not grounded: contact a qualified electrical specialist. 2, ), that is included in the TE25-S box, on the TE25-S plug and plug it into the wall outlet. 2, ), attach it to the adaptor and connect it to a grounded metal object. Test the drill-stop function by touching a drill-bit inserted into the TE25-S chuck to a grounded metal object. The TE25-S power cord or extension cord is broken: have the power cord replaced by a qualified electrical specialist or authorized Hilti repair center or have the extension cord examined by a electrical specialist. No power at the outlet: contact a qualified electrical specialist.
5. If, after having checked above points, the green light still does not illuminate, contact an authorized Hilti Repair Center. [. . . ] Servicing must, therefore, be carried out only by qualified electrical specialists. 4
Light-duty chiselling: Using an additional chisel adaptor from Hilti, the TE25-S can also be used for light chiselling work in individual cases. The rotary action could cause accidents and the life of the TE 25-S will be greatly reduced. Please refer to the separate operating instructions for the chisel adaptor. [. . . ]
