Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Place the amplifier upside down on the bench with the front panel facing you. Place the SS-221 module in the open space on the chassis over the capacitor bank w ith the attached large black leads coming out toward the back of the chassis. () () Cut the 2 cable ties on the power lead wiring that are neares t the back panel. [. . . ] This is the plus ("+") lead and is marked on the top of the bridge rec tifier. W ith the rectifier on the right side of the terminal strip (w ires up), put the (+) through the most forward terminal (lug) on the strip (the one with the "+" lead of the capacitor going to () () () () () () () 1 it). Put the red lead from the SS-221 module through the same terminal lug, trimming as necessary. () Put the (-) lead of the bridge rectifier that is opposite of the (+) lead through the cente r (ground) lug of the term inal strip. Put the black lead from the SS-221 module through the same terminal lug, trimm ing as necessary. Solder the left lead of the bridge rectifier to the terminal lug that has the red wire f rom the transform er soldered to it. Solder the loose red transformer wire (removed earlier) to the remaining lead of the bridge rectifier. Locate the 8-32 screw just forward and to the left of the line voltage selector strip. Remove the nut and place the #8 solder lug (supplied) over the protruding screw. Take the 2 ZNR suppressors marked 14K20IU and put one lead of each through the new solder lug. The other end of the ZNR suppressors goes to the end terminals of the voltage selector term inal strip (NOT to the screws holding the strip dow n). Position the ZNR suppressors and the ground lug so that the ZNR leads are in the clear. Now fully tighten the 8-32 screw and nut holding the ground lug and transform er. The ZNR suppressor marked 14K39IU is connected between the end terminals on the voltage selector terminal strip (the same strip where the 14K20IU suppressors are connected). Place the leads from the ZNR suppressors under the terminal screws and tighten. Dress the power leads back into the wire bundle and tie using la cing, cord, string or tiewraps. Locate the antenna changeover relay an d ide ntify the wires connected to the relay coil. Solder the lead from the banded end (cathode) of one of the supplied diodes to the relay coil lug with the red wire soldered to it. [. . . ] NOTE: MAKE SURE THE "SAFTY BRASS SPRING INT ERLO CK" IS NOT GROUNDED BEFORE PLUGING INTO AN AC OUTLET. FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL SHORT CIRCUIT THE HIGH VOLTAGE SUPPLY TO GROUND AND DAMMAGE WILL RESULT IF POWER IS APPLIED!To do this, right the am plifier and plug it in and place the multi-meter switch to the "HV" position. [. . . ]
