PictBridge and USB Direct Print let you print your photos by connecting your digital camera directly to the EPSON STYLUS PHOTO RX. Make sure your photos meet the following requirements. File format Image size JPEG. Some of the settings on your digital camera may not be reflected in the output. Depending on the EPSON STYLUS PHOTO RX and the digital camera settings, there may be some combinations of paper type, size, and layout that are not supported. 1. 3. Making Prints From Your Digital Camera 15 English Making Prints From Slides or Negatives You can use the film holder that came with your EPSON STYLUS PHOTO RX to scan 35-mm slides and strips of negatives or positive film. To get professional results that look and feel like traditional photos, try one of the special Epson photo papers listed on page 4. Open the document cover and remove the document mat. c Caution: Make sure you handle film or negative strips by the edges or wear gloves. Touching the film surface with bare hands can leave fingerprints or other marks on the film. 2. If you have stored the film holder in the document cover, remove it as shown. 3. Place your film in the holder as described on the following pages. 16 Making Prints From Slides or Negatives Placing 35-mm Slides in the Holder 1. Fit the holder's tabs into the two small holes at the rear edge of the document table. Open the film strip cover. 2. Slide your negative or positive film strip into the holder, under the tabs. 2. Printing Snapshots Once you have placed your slides, negatives, or film strips on the scanner as described above, you can scan and print quick snapshots. Do not put your hand inside the EPSON STYLUS PHOTO RX or touch the cartridges during printing. Install an ink cartridge immediately after you remove it from its package. [. . . ]
