Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Secure Printing Control the output of sensitive documents At some point, everybody needs to print a confidential document. [. . . ] Users can submit jobs to the secure print queue either on the local network or via the internet, removing the need for printer drivers to be installed on the user's computer1. The user can be identified at the device by their fingerprints2, PIN number, username and password3, magnetic swipe card, smart card or proximity card. Once authenticated, the user can view and select their jobs directly on the MFD screen3. The user can see a thumbnail of the first page of the job4, 5 and change the finishing options, such as double sided, staple and colour, before it is printed5. When the job is printed, the print job costs can be stored for later reporting purposes6. [. . . ] Any jobs that are deleted without being printed are stored in the database as a cost saving6, which can then be used to show the return on investment made by uniFLOW. · Keeps network print jobs confidential to the · Jobs will follow the userlocationdevice regardless of model or user to print · Allows the the job changeitthereleased settings of before is of multiple · Allows the usemethods including identification · Removes the need for expensive local printers · Reduces print waste and costs by only releasing the jobs that the user investment · Shows return onstrategy made by new printing Features require the Internet Gateway Module Features require the Biometric module 3 Features require a uniFLOW SPP Device Licence for MEAP or uniFLOW SPP device License for non-Canon MFD 4 Features require a Job Conversion Instance 5 Features require a uniFLOW SPP Device Licence for MEAP 6 Features require the Statistics Module 7 Features require a uniFLOW Login Device Licence for CMFP 1 2 5 proximity cards, smart cards and fingerprints2 actually needs Secure Printing Control the output of sensitive documents uniFLOW required software · uniFLOW Base License (WE, BE, CE, EE) secure printing features · TheSecure Printing module requires the Compatibility · The uniFLOW SPP Device License for MEAP requires a MEAP enabled Canon · The uniFLOW SPP Device License for non-Canon devices requires a compatible device non-MEAP imageRUNNER device iR or imageRUNNER ADvANCE device · The uniFLOW Login Device License for CMFP requires a compatible Canon Universal Driver supported devices MFD's · All CanonPrintersand Canon Single Function (LBPs) Any PCL5, PCL6 or Postscript printers · are expected to work http://difportal. nt-ware. net/ for · visitlatest supported device information the Secure Printing functionality print jobs on releases number waiting · Holdsonly after userthe server and at the · Ability to seerelease onand price of enabled them identification jobs before non-MEAP · output device Identification possible by entering a code, username and password, fingerprint2, or by using various smart, proximity or magnetic swipe cards Software Operating System uniFLOW server change finishing · Ability for the user towhen used with the options of their jobs Canon imageRUNNER devices · Jobs can beofreleased to any device, regardless manufacturer of uniFLOW · Ability totolink anyanumberprint job servers create global release mechanism 1 · Option to set all jobs to be released on user identification release · Centralselectedqueue where print jobsvia can be for release or deleted · Central release queueinallows users to place jobs on "hold" situations where to select and release · Ability for the user document archive public jobs from a 5 Universal Driver5 · Windows 2000/2003/2008 · Internet Information Server 5. 0 (2000), 6. 0 (2003), 7. 0 (2008) or higher · Internet Explorer 5. 5recommended) (Internet Explorer 7 Features require the Internet Gateway Module Features require the Biometric module 3 Features require a uniFLOW SPP Device Licence for MEAP or uniFLOW SPP device License for non-Canon MFD 4 Features require a Job Conversion Instance 5 Features require a uniFLOW SPP Device Licence for MEAP 6 Features require the Statistics Module 7 Features require a uniFLOW Login Device Licence for CMFP 1 2 a web browser · Ability for users to submit jobs to the secure print queue via the internet of · Ability for the user to view a listandtheir secure jobs on the MFD panel release or delete them 3 all jobs are released upon identification Canon Inc. canon. com Canon (UK) Ltd Woodhatch, Reigate Surrey, RH2 8BF Tel: 01737 220000 Fax: 01737 220022 www. canon. co. uk Canon Ireland Arena Road, Sandyford Industrial Estate Dublin 18, Ireland Tel: 01 2052400 Fax: 01 2958141 www. canon. ie Canon Europa canon-europe. com English Edition 0152W728 © Canon Europa N. v. , 2010 © NT-ware 2010 [. . . ]
