Operating the projector properly enables you to manage those features and maintains it in better condition for a considerable time. Improper operation may result in not only shortening the product-life, but also malfunctions, fire hazard, or other accidents. If your projector seems to operate improperly, read this manual again, check operations and cable connections and try the solutions in the "Troubleshooting" section at the end of this booklet. [. . . ] Custom User preset image in the Image Adjust Menu (p28). Standard Normal picture adjustment preset on this projector. Menu Operation Image Select Menu icon 1 2 Press the MENU button and the On-Screen Menu will appear. Press the Point Left/Right button to move the red frame pointer to the Image Select Menu icon. Press the Point Down button to move the red frame pointer to the level that you want to set and then press the SET button. Standard IMAGE SELECT MENU Move the red frame pointer to the level and press SET button. Normal picture level preset on this projector. High contrast Picture adjustment improved in reproduction of the halftones. This adjustment is suitable for providing a better image in a brighter place. Custom User preset image in the Image Adjust Menu (p30). The level being selected. 27 Computer Input Image Level Adjustment 1 2 Press MENU button to display the On-Screen Menu. Press Point 7 8 buttons to move the red frame pointer to Image Adjust Menu icon. Press Point d button to move the red frame pointer to the item that you want to adjust. Adjust each level by pressing Point 7 8 buttons. Image Adjust Menu icon IMAGE ADJUST MENU Move the red frame pointer to the item to be selected and then press SET button. Contrast Press Point 7 8 buttons to adjust the image contrast. (From 0 to 63. ) Brightness Press Point 7 8 buttons to adjust the image brightness. (XLow, Low, Mid, or High) White balance (Red) Press Point 7 8 buttons to adjust the red tone. (From 0 to 63. ) White balance (Green) Press Point 7 8 buttons to adjust the green tone. (From 0 to 63. ) White balance (Blue) Press Point 7 8 buttons to lighten the blue tone. (From 0 to 63. ) Gamma Press Point 7 8 buttons to obtain better balance of contrast. (From 0 to 15. ) Auto grayscale When this function is "ON", it automatically enhances contrast of bright and dark part of image. Store icon Press SET button at this icon to store the adjustment. Selected Image level Reset Reset all adjustment to previous figure. Store To store the image data adjusted manually, move the red frame pointer to the Store icon and press the SET button. To set this manual adjustment, select Custom by pressing the IMAGE button or through the Image Select Menu (p27). Quit Closes Image Menu. "OK?" message Move the pointer to [Yes] and then press the SET button. 28 Computer Input Screen Size Adjustment This projector has a picture screen resize function, which enables you to display the desirable image size. 1 2 Press MENU button to display the On-Screen Menu.
