Recycling This product is supplied with the selective sorting symbol for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). This means that this product must be handled pursuant to European Directive 2002/96/EC in order to be recycled or dismantled to minimise its impact on the environment. Before operating your refrigerator Before starting to use your refrigerator check the following: 1. Is the interior of the refrigerator dry and can the air circulate freely in the rear of it?Insert the 2 plastic wedges onto the rear ventilation as illustrated in the following figure. Plastic wedges will provide the required distance between your refrigerator and the wall in order to allow the air circulation. Clean the interior of the refrigerator as recommended in the “Maintenance and cleaning” section. When the fridge door is open the fridge compartment interior light will come on. The liquid and gases sealed within the refrigeration system may also give rise to noise, even if the compressor is not running and this is quite normal. Keep the packing materials out of the reach of children or dispose them of by classifying them in accordance with the waste instructions. The packing of your refrigerator is produced from recyclable materials. Disposing of your old refrigerator Electric connection Connect your product to a grounded socket which is being protected by a fuse with the appropriate capacity. Green Indicator Illuminates when the appliance is connected to the mains and will glow as long as there is electricity present. The green indicator does not give any indication of the temperature inside the freezer. When the appliance is first switched on, and will stay on until the pre-set temperature has been attained. Thermostat knob The thermostat knob is located on the indicator light frame. Important: When you press the fast-freeze switch or adjust the set temperature, there may be a short delay before the compressor starts to operate. € Attention Do not freeze fizzy drinks, as the bottle may burst when the liquid in it is frozen. In order to maintain the quality of the food, the freezing must be effected as rapidly as possible. Thus, the freezing capacity will not be exceeded, and the temperature inside the freezer will not rise. € Attention Keep the already deep-frozen food always separated with freshly placed food. When deep-freezing hot food, the cooling compressor will work until the food is completely frozen. This can temporarily cause excessive cooling of the refrigeration compartment. [. . . ] Solenoid valve functions for the purpose of ensuring coolant passage through the compartment which can be adjusted to cooling or freezing temperatures, and performing cooling functions. € The operating performance characteristics o f the refrigerator may change according to the changes in the ambient temperature.
