It is absolutely necessary for the user to strictly follow the safety instructions and warnings in this user manual. [. . . ] When the power switch is in OFF position, this unit is not completely disconnected from the mains!This appliance must be earthed to in order comply with safety regulations. Always replace a damaged fuse with a fuse of the same type and electrical specifications!In the event of serious operating problems, stop using the appliance and contact your dealer immediately. Due to safety reasons it is prohibited to make unauthorized modifications to the unit. Do not use volatile liquids such as benzene or thinner which will damage the unit. Check if your PL-speaker is already prepared for use with the new APL-amplifier modules. The serial number should be: PL12: serial number bigger than "09041681" PL15: serial number bigger than "09021441" If you have an older cabinet, installation is quite complicated and should only be considered if you are a well skilled person for the job. If your PL-speaker cabinet is prepared for easy installation of the APL-modules than please proceed with the installation as described below: A. Unplug the passive PL-cabinet from the amplifier and unscrew the 8 screws that keep the metal connector plate in place. Keep the screws for later and remove the connector plate: on the back you will notice a special connector. To disconnect the special connector, press the connector lock and separate the two connectors. CAUTION: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove the top cover. The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within the equilateral tr iangle is intended to alert the use or the presence of un insulated "dangerous voltage" within the product's enclosure that may un-insulated be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock. The exclamation point withi n the equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence within of important operation and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying this appliance. This symbol means: indoor use only This symbol means: Read instructions This symbol means: Safety Class I appliance The amplifier module uses the same connector as the original connector plate: press the lock and join the 2 connector parts together. Make sure the lock function is on: you should hear a "click". Put the amplifier module in place and use the original screws to fasten the module. [. . . ] Attention: To prevent damage to the tweeters of your speaker cabinet, please set the micro input level (1) to zero before you connect the microphone. LINE INPUT/OUTPUT: This input accepts both balanced and unbalanced line level signals. The output makes it possible to connect several speaker cabinets to the same line output of a mixer. SPEAKER OUTPUT: you can connect a second "passive" speaker cabinet to this Speakon output. [. . . ]
